London’s most innovative street market has street food, produce, fashion, live music, and London’s first teenage and student makers markets.

Well Street was once part of an old country lane from the 1850s stretching from Shoreditch to Homerton and the banks of the river Lea.

An early trader at this market went on to become a founder of one of Britain’s most successful businesses.

Tesco was founded by 21 year old Jack Cohen who started trading from a barrow in Well Street Market in 1919 alongside dozens of other stalls.

Hoxton Street Market

Established in 1687, Hoxton is the oldest street market in Hackney. Packed with East End spirit, and just a short stroll from Shoreditch, the market has recently been transformed and now boasts new-look market stalls. The market has played a key role in building a strong local community and economy, showcasing its trader’s products and the local retail offer.

In its 1930s heyday Chatsworth Road market is reported to have had up to 200 stalls running 4‐5 days a week,

Extending  along the full length of the street. The number of stalls and market days decreased slowly in post‐war years until the market eventually closed around 1990.

After many years of campaigning by local residents and traders, the market returned in 2010 and has been running weekly since June 2011.

The market is established as a regular Sunday market used by local people and is continuing to grow, providing a place to shop, meet friends or entertain the kids.

The long-term plan is to grow the number of stalls (we have approval to grow to around 80 stalls towards Rushmore Road), providing more choice for local residents and bringing increased business to the traders on the street.

Time to hit the ground running for your 2018 planning. And I mean starting TODAY.
This episode is meant to be your goal-setting workshop in a box—I’ve got everything you need to plan for 2018: How to do it, the questions to ask, and plenty of examples to inspire you to take action.
If you have felt like in the last year you are flying by the seat of your pants, or you have been frustrated with your promotions, or you have no idea how you’re going to make money NEXT YEAR, then it’s time to listen up and take action. [1:15]
By the way, the focus is on the first six months only, because you may want to repeat some of the success you saw in the first half of the year. I’m all about the rinse and repeat! Also: Opportunities will come your way, and I want you to have some flexibility in your planning for those.
Rules of Engagement Upfront:

I want you to take an entire day to do this process. I know, I know. No bellyaching. I don’t want you to feel rushed or pressured to get it done.
Pick a “special spot” to do this. If you want extra credit, book out a hotel room or a co-working space. If you’re going to do this at home, promise me you’ll send everyone away so you have the space to create, focus and think.
Don’t do this alone. Engage your virtual assistant or anyone on your team (either via Skype or fly them out!). I understand that you may be a “one-person show”—I encourage you to then find a friend or a peer that can be your sounding board.
Grab a whiteboard or a big sticky board. You’ll need a space to put your notes.
