The National Theatre set to host debate on homelessness in the UK 🇬🇧

Thousands of ‘hidden homeless’ people sleep in dangerous conditions in London every night, a damning report has found.

As many as 12,500 people are forced to stay with strangers and sleep on public transport every night in the capital, leaving them at serious risk of assault, according to a study compiled by the London Assembly.

But London’s ‘hidden homeless’, who are often not recognised in official figures as they find shelter in places such as illegal squats, are not receiving vital support from councils, the report added.

It found the only one in five people aged 16 to 24 seek help from local councils.

What is a master franchisee?

A master franchisee typically pays the franchise brand for the rights to develop an entire territory and then retains most or all the initial fees and royalty fees paid over time by the individual franchisees within the territory.

They are usually responsible for recruiting the individual franchisees to the area and providing all training and support they need, both initially and on an ongoing basis.

Homelessness Reduction Act Report

Homelessness Reduction Act
London Councils, is urging the government to properly fund the expansion of boroughs’ homelessness prevention and support services. These services described in the Homelessness Reduction Act will cost at least £77 million per year in London. Only £10 million per year has been allocated to the capital, despite the fact that 70 per cent of homeless households in England are based in London.

Mayor Sir Steve Bullock, London Councils’ executive member for housing, said: “The Homelessness Reduction Act will transform homelessness prevention and relief services for the better and London boroughs are committed to helping more people at an earlier stage to prevent and address homelessness.

“However, we fear that inadequate funding for the Homelessness Reduction Act in London, as well as the unrealistic timescale for making changes to existing services, risks leaving thousands of vulnerable people without support.“

Haringey chief executive
The London Borough of Haringey has confirmed interim chief executive Zina Etheridge as the borough’s permanent chief executive, following her appointment to the interim role in March this year.

Dehydration is lurking – and can strike at any moment!

There are few things more dangerous in life than not having enough water. As humans, our bodies are designed around this essential, life-giving fluid. We’re 70% water after all, and we can’t go more than three days without it.

Even mild dehydration has an effect. It depletes your energy, leaving you lethargic and fatigued all day long. Plus, you won’t be able to concentrate, focus, or stay patient – which can take a toll on you personally and professionally!

Unfortunately, most people do not drink enough water, and one major reason is that most forms of water can be tough to drink! After all, just facing the prospect of drinking over eight glasses a day of unpleasant plain tap water or even bottled water is off-putting for most people.

Fortunately, there is a better way … Drinking alkaline water that tastes better and is easier to drink than every other water on the planet!

8 glasses of water a day!
Kangen Water®’s unique structure makes it easier to consume the necessary amounts of water we need each day. Plus, you can’t beat the taste. Now, you actually have an incentive to chug away!

Consider drinking ionized alkaline water that is crisp, cool, refreshing, and, most importantly, easy to drink.

Stay hydrated!

How to Create Your Promotional Calendar (The New Year Planning Episode)
Biggest Takeaways You Don’t Want to Miss:

Time to hit the ground running for your 2018 planning. And I mean starting TODAY.
This episode is meant to be your goal-setting workshop in a box—I’ve got everything you need to plan for 2018: How to do it, the questions to ask, and plenty of examples to inspire you to take action.
If you have felt like in the last year you are flying by the seat of your pants, or you have been frustrated with your promotions, or you have no idea how you’re going to make money NEXT YEAR, then it’s time to listen up and take action. [1:15]
By the way, the focus is on the first six months only, because you may want to repeat some of the success you saw in the first half of the year. I’m all about the rinse and repeat! Also: Opportunities will come your way, and I want you to have some flexibility in your planning for those.
Rules of Engagement Upfront:

I want you to take an entire day to do this process. I know, I know. No bellyaching. I don’t want you to feel rushed or pressured to get it done.
Pick a “special spot” to do this. If you want extra credit, book out a hotel room or a co-working space. If you’re going to do this at home, promise me you’ll send everyone away so you have the space to create, focus and think.
Don’t do this alone. Engage your virtual assistant or anyone on your team (either via Skype or fly them out!). I understand that you may be a “one-person show”—I encourage you to then find a friend or a peer that can be your sounding board.
Grab a whiteboard or a big sticky board. You’ll need a space to put your notes.
The freebie for this episode is EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAN:

You’ll hear me map out this entire process on the episode. Then, when you are ready to do your own plan, grab the step-by-step cheat sheet so you can work through this process for your own business.

With this worksheet, you’ll know exactly how to plan for your 2018.
